So, what is it exactly?
The Clarisonic is an electronic cleansing tool with a massage-action that helps remove the build-up of dead, dulling cells and debris on the skin’s surface while drawing out impurities lodged deep down in the skin. It has the effects of an exfoliator only it is much gentler on your skin because it uses no abrasives or chemicals. Ultimately, it’s far superior to regular cleansing or exfoliating and will buff your skin to polished perfection. How do you use it?
Once you have determined the appropriate brush head to suit your skin, you then attach it to the main handle. The brush is cordless therefore needs to be charged for 24 hours prior to using.
Simply sit the brush in the charging cradle and plug it in. A serious of lights on the brush will indicate that the unit is charging and will alert you when it is fully charged and ready to rock n roll. The brush tool is sealed and waterproof, so it’s perfectly safe to use in the shower.

Set the T-Timer to the desired setting and position the bristles gently on your skin, then continue to manoeuvre in small circular motions across your face, remembering not to apply any pressure; let the brush do the cleaning. As a guide, you need to focus on the four areas of your face (forehead, nose and chin and both cheeks).
Cleanse for 20 seconds on your forehead, then 20 seconds on your nose and chin and finally 10 seconds for each cheek. My experience!
When I first saw the Clarisonic launch here at The Facial Company I was the biggest sceptic, of the belief that it would be too harsh for my sensitive, fragile skin. Because I have always suffered from mild facial redness around my nose and inner cheeks, under the guidance of a therapist, I have deliberately avoided scrubby skin care products on my face, particularly around those delicate areas, to prevent exacerbating the situation. While dubious and slightly apprehensive, I am not one to shy away from a challenge, and seeing as a skin care professional had given me the all clear, I decided I had nothing to lose and everything to gain. After all, I had seen plenty of great feedback and really wanted to experience it for myself once and for all, so I ended up pretty excited to say the least, as the claims the Clarisonic boast are certainly rather appealing to someone in my age range (say 30ish, lol).Darren suggested I start-off using the Clarisonic a couple of times in the first week, then build it up to every second day by the second week. This was just to ensure I had no dilemmas, which at the very most could be some possible increased redness. Thankfully, my first experience using the unit went off without a hitch and I suffered no irritation; afterward my skin was perfectly comfortable. The vibrating sensation felt wonderful and was so invigorating; stimulating my skin like an electric massage for my face. It did only take one minute, so it didn’t cause me to spend longer than normal on my cleansing routine and the immediate results absolutely bowled me over. That’s right! After just one use, I could see a significant change in my skin. Not only was it cleaner, smoother and silky soft to touch, the pesky enlarged pores on my nose looked almost invisible. The gunk that normally anchors in my pores tends to make them look huge and obvious; however, this cleansing method has managed to clear all of that congestion making them look much smaller in appearance. I didn’t, in my wildest dreams, expect to see such a visual reformation of my other skin concerns in such a short space of time.
